Nurita Harith

 

Nurita Harith, passionate and ambitious; has always had an ardour and eye for Fashion and the Arts. Her passion lies in the Arts and the use and interesting silhouettes. Before pursuing her Bachelor of Fashion Design at Surrey Institute of Art in London, she was a fine arts major and had done sculptures before, which undoubtedly has helped her in developing her own individual style. Her first show for KLFW 2006 was looking at layers, and the use of brown hues against gold tones. Her look usually consists of soft layers, drapes, which can be simply described as femininity with a touch of masculinity. Nurita Harith is a ready to wear designer and now has branched into custome-made designs. Her other accomplishments includes:

 

  • Finalist for the Malaysian Young Designers Competition 2007.
  • Contestant for Project Runway Malaysia 2007.
  • Stylist for Malaysian Tatler.
  • Promotion for Isetan KLCC for the ‘F4-Malaysian Designers’.
  • Opened her first boutique in Bangsar,Kuala Lumpur
    In Oct 2008.
  • Showcased “shades of greys” for Malaysian International
    Fashion week 2008.
  • One of the designers selected for customizing patchwork for Kiehls – World AIDS day 2009.
  • One of the designers selected to customize shirt for Thomas Pink - “peace project” in 2009
  • One of the designers selected to style for “Barbie’s
    50th anniversary” with Jaspal
  • Showcased Red Dress for the Heart Foundation (Singapore)
    For Singapore Fashion Week.
  • Currently featured as one of the designer in “shopping Malaysia” by Malaysia tourism magazine.
  • Showcased the hues of navy blues collection at MIFW 2009
  • Showcased latest collection inspired candy colours from “jelly bean” for Stylo 2010
  • Recently,showcased her latest collection for STYLO 2011
